Was out side looking at the moon and stars with the kids when the one kid said – Look a Shooting star – It was going so slowly, I knew it wasnt a satelite or plane, and it was so low down, it definatly wasnt a satelite, anyways, it was going over PMB towards Sweetwaters, when it stopped, did a squiggly thing, turned at 90 degrees, went a few meters or so, turned 90 degrees again, and came back towards us, back over PMB, but then it coulour changed to bright RED. It was going so slowly and so quietly, it didnt even make a noise like a chopper…. but I told the kids that it was a chopper… It came towards us and I made all the kids go inside, all calm and stuff but I SHAT myself! seriously…. I dont know if it was a black chopper…. or not… still freaky….

It was around about 7.30pm (ish) – was chatting with the complex kids about the stars and how Venus was so close to the moon etc, when Like I said – one kid said ooh a shooting star – I watched it go over PMB, from one side to the other and back again – still think it might have been a hellicopter… but they usually make a noise… especially when its almost over head… oh well – either I saw some visitors from somewhere else, or some REALLY Secret Airforce helicopter or something…. but it was DEAD quiet – usually choppers make a hellova racket especially when they are very close… the whole turning at direct angles and change of colour really freaked me out… as Most Aircraft I know of – dont do that….

Good day Cristo, I would like to get some clarification on an unidentifiable object that I spotted flying across the sky last night in Polokwane at about 9 pm. I have reason to believe that there must be some logical conclusion behind what I saw, since it moved in a constant direction and did not seem to be highly technical in nature – perhaps it is a new type of satelite? What I could see was about 4 lights, of similar brightness to that of most satelites but moving somewhat faster than a satelite would.

The lights formed the shape of a triangle and the triangle itself seemed to be black, but I am not 100% sure because the night sky here in Polokwane is very dark itself. The object did not emit any type of noise, and therefore I concluded that it could not have been any type of jet aircraft, and the size of the object was too big to try to justify it as being a high flying jet too high to hear the engines. I would like to get some ideas on what I could have seen, and I’d like to know if other people have reported a similar sighting from last night, or at any other time in history. Is this a man made object?
