20100212 – Latest UFO Report, Durban
Whilst driving to work with my husband, we saw what seemed to be an aero plane in the sky over Isipingo/Mobeni area this morning at about 8.40am.
The unusal thing was that its direction was as if it took off from the airport, but it was not on the usual course. It was also flying too low and not attempting to gain altitude. There was one bright whitish light on its under belly that was not constantly blinking (was on then off for a while). Its shape was very much like a passenger plane – cylindrical with a nose.
At some point it was virtually standing still then it seemed to drop. I lost sight of it once we got onto South Coast Road. Further onto the Southern Freeway (over Umbilo/Glenwwod) I saw it again travelling parallel to us. It looked like a long, flat aeroplane, but without noise, smoke or lights.
It then somehow started going backwards and disappeared inland.
Some 15 minutes later getting into town, I saw it over the bay area (Point/ Maydon wharf) coming in from over the water toward the city, but then it dropped and I lost sight of it because of the buildings. I got out into the street outside my office building as I has a clearer view and saw it the last time- coming in again from over the water and into the city. My husband who was with me all the time told me to get out the cellphone camera but by that time it has disappeared behind a building. I ran to the other end, camera in hand, but it never emerged.
I am not a UFO fanatic, but neither am I a skeptic – just want some clarity on what we saw this morning. Am just so glad my husband was there else this would sound really unbelievable!

I believe you saw a classic “cigar-shaped” space craft, also often called a rod, especially when they are travelling at speed on high. It is the type of spacecraft described by Lobsang Rampa in which he and six other Tibetan lamas were taken, faster than the speed of light, to the Moon and to Venus, where they interacted with friendly races of giant people. For real. And I believe his insistence that he only told the truth, in all 19 of his books.
Keep up the sightings and reportings. There is nothing to fear and nowhere to hide. Why dont you consider both you and your husband doing detailed, separate, time and date and exactly what-who-saw-where-and-when, reports to post on forums to add to the growing body of witnessed UFO data.

Last night my husband and I saw something in the sky, we thought at first it was far too bright and close to be a star and it looked like it was burning white and red. THen it began to slowly but steadily decend. It just slowly fell lower and lower until it was out of sight. The way it moved and the direction made it very clear it was not a plane as had been one of our first assumptions. Any ideas as to what we saw?
My boyfriend and I have also seen it. I thought at first it was a plane but was way to big to be a normal plane. and it had bright lights all around it. we were traveling along the M19 and we saw it then it disappeared and we saw it like 3 mins later going toward the south, not sure where exactly. Also it wasn’t flying the normal plane route so that confirmed to me that it was definitely a UFO or something like that.
